Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatros

• L-39 Flight and Training Manuals:
  The new L-39 Flight Manual and two Flight Training Manuals (Vol. 1 - Technical Training Manual for Pilots and Vol. 2 - Flight Training Procedures) are currently in process of translation. They are all based on GAF manuals. Following are a couple pictures to give you an impression of the content.

• German Air Force Maintenance Handbook:
  Also available soon will be the GAF Maintenance Handbook in a pocket book style (5.8 x 4.1 in). This book consists of safety precautions, all instruction for pre-flight, post flight, flight preparation instructions, technical parameters of the airplane's equipment, preservation instruction for aircraft and engine, cold weather operation, inspection after exceeding g-load, preparation for aerobatic flights, run-up instructions, etc. in more than 200 double sided, laser printed pages. (At aero-contact, we call it the Mechanics "Blue Bible.")

• Sapphire-5 Auxiliary Power Unit:
  aero-contact has translated the "Technical Description" and "Instructions for Operation" technical books for the Sapphire-5 APU from the excellent German Air Force Manual into an English language version. The Technical Description is a A4 format book with 253 original pages and includes drawings, detailed descriptions and parameters of every part part of the Sapphire-5 and accessories. The "Instructions for Operation" is also a A4 book and the 78 original pages contain operation instructions, maintenance instructions, wiring diagrams, instruction for the 600 starts APU inspection (hot section) plus trouble shooting procedures.
